Why do you need a bike trainer?

Designed for indoor training, a bike trainer is a perfect tool for people who like riding. It allows you to get the same workout results as riding on a road while avoiding the risks and inconvenience of riding outside. With increasing numbers of road accidents, riding outside can be dangerous, especially when the weather is not ideal. In addition, you won’t be distracted by traffic conditions or red lights when you ride home and you can even multitask by watching movies, reading, or chatting with family.

As an aerobic exercise, cycling is loved by a lot of people because it is beneficial to health and fitness. Doing cycling exercise regularly will improve your overall fitness level: increase muscle strength and flexibility, joint mobility, strengthen bones, and so on. For people who want to improve their cycling skills, a bike trainer is also a piece of essential equipment for them to practice balance and pedaling.

The bike trainer is relatively a small piece of equipment so that it is easy to move and does not take up much space. If you are training at home, you could just set it up in a few seconds and have a non interrupted workout for as long as you need, and after you finish your workout you could just put the device away and store it wherever suits.

How to perform indoor cycling workouts?

To make the most of your indoor cycling exercises, you should start your exercise with a ten minutes warm-up by stretching your body and have another roughly ten minutes of cool-down when you finish the exercise. In between, you could do speed intervals, climbing bursts, and ladder intervals to improve your power, speed, and cycling skills. With speed intervals, you could perform fast pedal intervals for one minute with a two-minute of recovery, and repeat for 10-15 times. To do climbing bursts, you can have a two-minute of the pedal after a solid warm-up and perform a standing pedal with higher resistance. For ladder intervals, it requires you to increase pedal level gradually during the exercise which resembles a real race.
